One night, while on vacation, Emma was taking a walk with her friends when they met an adorable dog near a highway.
The pooch started walking behind them, hoping that they would help her and show her kindness.
The good humans felt heartbroken when they realized that the canine, later named Kaia, had a neck wound and an injured leg.
Emma caressed her. The pup soaked up her cuddles, feeling relieved because someone noticed her and comforted her.
Since it was too late to get help for the dog, Emma and her friends thought it was better to return for Kaia in the morning and take her to the vet.
Sensing that they were good people, Kaia couldn’t let them leave her, so she continued following them.
Bringing Her To Safety
When Emma realized that the doggo kept walking behind them, she took her in her arms and decided to take her with her.
Feeling safe in her rescuer’s embrace, Kaia instantly melted.
The pooch sensed that she would finally get the help she needed.
Emma brought her home.
Although Kaia was in pain, she was nice and friendly. Her rescuer stroked her gently, promising her that she would soon feel better.
In the morning, Emma took her to the vet, who gave her immediate medical attention.
Since her neck wound was infected, Kaia was prescribed antibiotics and she underwent surgery the next morning.
Emma decided to keep the doggo for a few weeks until she healed. She was determined to help Kaia find a loving home.
After Kaia was discharged from the hospital, Emma started taking care of her.
The canine loved going to the beach. She enjoyed watching the people and the beautiful sunset.
The more time Emma spent with the lovely canine, the more she fell in love with her. She realized that she couldn’t part ways with her.
Kaia’s Dream Home
Since Emma couldn’t keep Kaia because she traveled a lot, she came up with the perfect idea. She decided to persuade her dad to give Kaia a forever home.
Her dad lived alone and worked from home. Emma believed that he and the adorable canine would be the perfect fit. He and Kaia would have a great time together.
“It took a little bit of convincing because obviously he’d never met the dog before. But he eventually said yes,” Emma told The Dodo.
Emma cared for Kaia and the two of them built a strong connection.
Once Kaia’s neck healed completely and she received her due vaccines, the pup flew with her hero to meet her forever dad.
Emma’s dad and Kaia were smitten with each other.
Both of them are overjoyed and they enjoy each other’s company. Kaia’s forever dad takes her with him everywhere he goes.
Emma is convinced that it was Kaia who chose them that night. She was meant to become a part of their lives.
“I really do feel she chose us, because we weren’t going to bring her home that night, but she just kept following us. It was just perfect,” Emma added.
Kaia lives her dream life with her forever dad and she spends wonderful time with Emma whenever she visits them.
