Hunted by hyenas in the absence of their mother, leopard cubs skillfully managed and escaped within a few inches.
Specifically, when the tour group stopped on S1 road, they discovered a baby leopard hiding in the bushes. A moment later, a hyena approached.
Soon after, one of the herds sniffed the leopard and discovered the prey. The hiding place is revealed and without the mother beside, the leopard cubs quickly run away. Being chased closely by the enemy, the leopard cub immediately climbed a tree and narrowly escaped.
The sly hyenas have long been branded as cowards and scavengers. In fact, they are powerful predators, not only scavenging but also regularly hunting and killing prey within their range.
Meanwhile, leopards depend mainly on hearing and vision to hunt. Their lifestyle and food are different from other giant cats. They are capable of hunting in trees as well as on the ground. They mainly hunt at night in most areas.
Leopards can also actively retreat up trees against direct attack from other large carnivores, but they can also kill or hunt competitors such as jackals, lion cubs, cheetahs, hyenas and wild dogs.
