Mike Tyson has expressed his belief that Jake Paul is taking their upcoming fight “very seriously” – despite the YouTuber’s antics.

The pair are set to face off on November 15 at the AT&T Arena in Arlington, Texas, in a match recognized as a professional bout by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations. Despite criticism from the boxing community over the decision to proceed with the fight after Tyson had to withdraw from the original date due to an ulcer flare-up, the 58-year-old insists he’s ready to rumble.

Meanwhile, Paul has been busy posting videos mocking his opponent, including one where he dons a fat suit while lifting fake weights. In another post, the 27-year-old offered “Iron Mike” $5 million if he can last until the fourth round.

In a video shared on his gambling site’s TikTok page, Betr, Paul was seen lounging shirtless on a couch as he piled money onto his faux belly. “Mikey, Mikey, if you can last more than four rounds with me, I’ll give you an extra $5 million,” Paul proposed.

However, there was a catch to his offer. “The Problem Child” stated that if Tyson couldn’t endure more than four rounds, then the boxing legend would have to get a permanent reminder of his defeat to the young upstart. He added: “But, if you don’t, then you have to get a tattoo that says I love Jake Paul. Deal or no deal?”

Despite Paul taking some time to mock his heavyweight opponent, Tyson believes that his rival is not taking the fight lightly. At a recent press conference, when asked about Paul’s ‘fat’ videos, the seasoned boxer replied: “I think he’s taking it very seriously because his health depends on it. I’m not looking past him. I’m not taking it lightly at all.”

The American boxing legend Mike Tyson insists he’s all in for his upcoming fight, but not everyone’s convinced. On Jimmy Kimmel’s show, “Iron Mike” boasted about his rigorous training schedule: “I am training extremely hard, I do six hours a day. I start at 11am and might leave the gym at 5pm” – to which a bewildered Kimmel responded: “Oh no. 11am? So that’s six hours straight, or is there a lunch break?”

Tyson conceded there’s a brief intermission, prompting Kimmel to exclaim: “Oh no.”

The conversation took another turn when Tyson was quizzed about whether he’d be high during his match with Paul. His answer? “I’m going to be so high off life, yeah.”

Not satisfied, Kimmel probed further: “Will you be high on marijuana, as well?”

Tyson didn’t rule it out: “That’s a possibility, too.” Kimmel’s reaction? “Oh no my bet is getting lower as we talk.”
