Following her game-winner against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings on Wednesday, Los Angeles Sparks star Kelsey Plum shocked fans by swearing in a post-game interview

Los Angeles Sparks star Kelsey Plum produced a mic-drop moment in her WNBA postgame interview after she banked a game-winner against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings.

Plum and the Sparks overcame the Wings 81-80 at Crypto.com Arena, with the Los Angeles star scoring the game-winning shot from inside the paint as time expired. The night will also be remembered for Bueckers’ spectacular performance, in which she cemented her case to win the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year award.

The 2025 WNBA Draft first overall pick tied Cynthia Cooper-Dyke for the most points scored in a single game with 44. Perhaps more impressively, Bueckers went 17-of-21 shooting. However, as the clock hit zero, it was Plum and her teammates who were celebrating and not Bueckers.

And speaking to reporter Nikki Kay, Plum dropped an f-bomb in her postgame interview, which hyped up the crowd inside Crypto.com Arena.

“Kelsey, that final drive, I think there were three seconds on the clock, walk me through that run to the bucket you had,” said Kay.

“Yeah, I mean it was a back-and-forth game,” began Plum. “Credit to Dallas, they were phenomenal.

“Paige was phenomenal. Yeah, I mean, I missed the last one, but as a player, you have a belief in yourself.

“I was gonna wait to shoot it at the buzzer, I didn’t want to give them a chance. And yeah, I mean, game over.”

“Growing up as little girl, you played for moments like this,” continued Kay. “What does it mean to be able to put on a show like this in this house?”

“It was awesome,” replied Plum. “Really appreciate the crowd, it was electric, back-and-forth.

“As a competitor, you hate to hear cheers from the other side, but a win is a win.”

That then prompted Kay to look ahead to the rest of the season for the Sparks, who moved to 17-18 on the year, one game back from a .500 record. “I know that is a playoff push, nine-game season for you guys, how do you turn the page and get ready for the next one?” asked the reporter.

“Yeah, we’ve got to play some f—— defense,” said Plum, prompting a huge cheer from the crowd.

Eight teams make the WNBA playoffs based on their regular-season records, meaning every win for the Sparks is crucial from here on out. Right now, they sit on the outside of the playoff picture, a game back from the Seattle Storm at 18-18.

Next up for Plum and the Sparks is a clash with the Phoenix Mercury, who currently sit fourth in the WNBA standings with a record of 21-13.
