Indianapolis Colts defensive captain Kenny Moore II has accused his teammates of ‘not working hard enough’, while also calling out the team’s coaches and insinuating the organization might have a losing culture.
The Colts were defeated by the Buffalo Bills with their quarterback Joe Flacco throwing three interceptions after coming in for Anthony Richardson – who was controversially benched for the rest of the season despite being the fourth overall pick just 18 months ago.
On the other end, Josh Allen had his struggles against the Colts’ defense while throwing two interceptions with no passing touchdowns, but the Bills were able to defeat the Colts’ consistent ability to run the ball on them – with Moore II being incredibly frustrated with his teammates.

In a fiery interview after the game, Moore II spoke on people not working hard enough, while also seemingly suggesting coaches must do a better job in preparing the team. He also suggested that the organization has not learned from previous mistakes from years past.
Speaking to reporters in the locker room after the game, Moore II said: “I don’t think everybody is working as hard as possible, and obviously it is showing. I am not the type to sugarcoat it. I don’t think the urgency is there, I don’t think the detail is there, I don’t think the effort is there. I don’t see things correlating from meetings to practice to the game… and it shows. It’s the same thing year-to-year.
He added: “We have to look at ourselves in the mirror and ask ourselves how bad do we want it. The frustrating thing is that we are leaking it into the other week… we’re making the same mistakes over and over. We have to be better as the season progresses, but we are in November and I don’t see us making that jump.”
The Colts’ loss sees them fall to a 4-6 record in the AFC, needing to go on a winning run if they are to make the playoffs this season. Head coach Shane Steichen’s job will likely depend on their record, while also making the correct decision at the quarterback position – with fans hoping to see more of Richardson despite him stating that he would be benched until 2025.
