Butterbean has claimed that his video alleging Mike Tyson held back against Jake Paul was taken down from his social media.
The former fighter, real name Eric Esch, published a video on his official TikTok page suggesting that Iron Mike went easy on ‘The Problem Child’ during their eight rounds. However, in a later video, Butterbean claims the original clip was removed for breaching the social media site’s guidelines.
Responding to a fan who asked why he pulled the video, Butterbean said: “Hey guys. This comment right here? I didn’t take it down, TikTok took it down. Apparently it was against their guidelines, but who am I to say?

“But I didn’t take it down. It was took (sic) down for me. It only had 200,000 views but you know, who knows? So I’m just abiding by the rules, no problem here.”
In the comments of this video, one person said: “Mike Tyson vs Butterbean let’s make this fight happen,” to which Butterbean replied: “If Mike fights like he did against Jake, my daughter would beat him.”
Paul has pushed back against any fight-fixing claims that have been thrown his and Tyson’s way, as he appeared on brother Logan Paul’s ‘Impaulsive’ podcast on Wednesday. The 27-year-old said: “People are like, ‘Oh yeah, it’s rigged because look at him on the pads but he didn’t do this in the fight.

“Because someone is f—ing punching back you dumb f—s. People don’t realize my power, and my jab and my speed and my ability, and my footwork to get out of the way of those punches, so then all of a sudden he’s throwing at, literally, air.”
However, the young boxer has admitted he wished Tyson had fought back harder in the ring so he could have put on more of a show for the audience. Paul added: “He was hard to hit. He was elusive. I was missing a lot of punches. I don’t know how he gets off to the side like that… I wish he had put up a better fight so that I could’ve risen more and done more, and he was surviving.”
Despite being rather outspoken on the Tyson and Paul fight, Butterbean has himself previously been accused of match-fixing. In 1996, Esch knocked out James Baker within 18 seconds at the Spruce Goose Dome in Long Beach, California.

But according to BoxRec, a replay of the fight showed that the knock-out punch missed Baker, who also claimed he took a dive in the fight to get off TV quickly as he was violating his probation by fighting in California.
Regardless of this controversy, Butterbean denied any foul play when speaking to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, and claimed he wouldn’t get in the ring if this was the case. He said: “My fights are not fixed. If I knew the guy wouldn’t put up a fight, you think I would be training four hours a day like I do?”
