BREAKING NEWS: Arch Manning Reveals His Favorite QB and Speaks Out on Peyton and Eli .giang

Arch Manning has named both his uncle’s Peyton and Eli Manning in his top five favorite quarterbacks of all-time, but believes he is most like another member of the family.

Arch is finally set to start for the Texas Longhorns this season after being the back-up behind Quinn Ewers for the 2023 and 2024 campaigns, where the school had gone to back-to-back FBS semi-finals.

Ewers will enter the NFL Draft this year, where he’s hoping to be taken within the first few rounds after an up-and-down year, with Manning taking over after fans saw glimpses in 2024.

Manning had made two starts last season, playing extremely impressive football with 12 touchdowns to just two interceptions when stepping in for the injured Ewers. In his appearances, he showed fans his athleticism while possessing the ability to launch the ball downfield.

That ability is something he shares with his five favorite quarterbacks, naming his two uncles and three legendary figures as the guy’s he’s watched the most. He said: “We’re going to go Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Eli Manning.”

And while Arch said he has taken pieces of information and learned from both Peyton and Eli throughout his career, neither of them are the Manning that he feels his game is most like. Instead, he believes he’s most like his grandfather, New Orleans Saints’ legend Archie Manning.

Manning has had to wait two years to start, while sitting behind Quinn Ewers

He said: “I feel like [my game is most like] my grandfather’s. He could run around a little bit, he used his athleticism to make plays. I try to take something from everyone.”

While fans will be excited to see Arch operate in Texas’ red-hot offense under Steve Sarkisian, many will be worried about the amount of talent leaving the school this offseason.

The Longhorns will be losing their four of their five starting offensive lineman, with Kelvin Banks Jr, Cameron Williams and Jake Majors likely to be drafted within the first four rounds. Elsewhere, Texas’ number one receiver Matthew Golden looks set to be a first-round pick, along with Isaiah Bond surprisingly declaring for the draft.

Manning could be reliant on freshman players in his first full season as a starter, with Texas securing some big names, as well as in the transfer portal.
