While Tom Holland may be a pro at mingling with A-listers, his dad Dominic Holland’s star-struck moment has resurfaced, causing a social media stir.
The Spiderman actor and his father were caught on camera in the presence of Harry Potter beauty Emma Watson during a tennis match at Wimbledon in 2018.
Emma, famed for her portrayal of Hermione Granger in the much-loved series, was seated just below the Hollands at the prestigious All England Club and was pictured sharing a smile as she walked by them. While Tom seemed engrossed in the match, Dominic couldn’t hide his excitement, grinning widely as he looked at the actress.
The seven-year old photo was shared by Non Aesthetic Things to X on Monday (February 24), and it quickly went viral, racking up over six million views in a mere 12 hours. The caption from the X user read: “Tom Holland’s dad acting normal in front of Emma Watson.”

Another snapshot showed Emma and actor Luke Evans sitting right in front of the Holland duo. Despite Dominic’s own fame as an actor, broadcaster, author, and comedian, he couldn’t help but be charmed by Watson’s presence.
One X user humorously commented: “Man’s fighting for his life trying not to quote Harry Potter.” Another added a playful observation: “Tom Holland looks like he is staring off in the other direction like he is trying not to notice.”
A third person commented: “He’s laughing like he don’t realise the Internet is about to analyse every frame.” A fourth admitted: “Honestly this is how probably 90% of the planet would react and the other 10 are people that don’t know who she is, doesn’t care about movies or is another celebrity so I don’t blame him at all.”
Whilst a fifth added: “Looks like he held it together better than most of us would. Probably rehearsed that moment in the mirror 100 times.” Elsewhere another X user shared a similar tale of their own experience with 34-year old Emma, revealing: “She was sitting next to me in a cafe a couple of months ago for hours. I didn’t notice that until my friend joined me and started screaming, OMG, Emma Watson!”
