Brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate have reportedly fled Romania and are en route to Florida.
It has been claimed the pair, who were earlier this year freed from their house arrest following allegations of human trafficking, are headed to Florida, having left Romania in the early hours of the morning at around 5 am.
The Sun reports the Tates are travelling to Florida, just a week after it was also reported President Donald Trump lobbied the Romanian government to ease the restraints upon the brothers. The Trump administration is said to have requested the Tate’s passports be returned to them which would allow them to be able to travel, despite still being under investigation for trafficking – which they deny.
Andrew, a former MMA fighter and Tristan left via private jet from Aurel Vlaicu International Airport in Banesa, embarking on an over 5,000-mile trip to the US. Romanian prosecutors have said they approved the request from the Tate’s to travel outside the country.
“The request to change the obligation of not leaving Romania was approved,” prosecutors said in a statement on Thursday following their departure. “All the other obligations have been maintained, including the requirement to check in with judicial authorities every time they are called.”
The brothers are dual U.S. and UK nationals but were not allowed to leave the country before having been released from their house arrest. They are also currently facing a slew of criminal charges of which they deny. In December 2022, they were detained for 30 days alongside two other women on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organized criminal gang.

In June 2023 they were formally charged with human trafficking, rape and starting up a criminal gang with the aim of sexually exploiting women. Then in March 2024, the Tate’s were arrested in Romania over allegations of sexual aggression against women dating back to between 2012 and 2015.
The following month, a Romanian court ruled they would be face trial following the ongoing investigation against them into rape and human trafficking.
And in December last year, British authorities seized over $2.5 Million from the pair after they failed to pay tax on $26 Million of revenue from their online businesses. Speaking at the time, Andrew said: “This isn’t justice, it’s a coordinated attack on those who challenge the system. Speak against the Matrix, and they’ll come for your freedom, your reputation, and your livelihood.”
