Angel Reese continues to have a record-breaking rookie year in the WNBA, which is why she did not take kindly to critics who judged her recent missed shots on the court.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) on Sunday, Aug. 25, Reese, 22, took a virtual jab at her critics, writing bluntly, “If it was easy, everybody would be doing it. We good!”

The Chicago Sky player has been on the receiving end of negative comments on social media due to racking up offensive rebounds because of her missing shots.

Per Sports Illustrated, the Sky’s loss to the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday was the second game in a row where Reese shot 25% from the field despite finishing with 11 points and 22 rebounds – the last time she shot above 50% was during the July 7 game against the Seattle storm when the Sky lost 84-71.

However, the missed shots are a mere small occurrence in an otherwise standout rookie season for Reese. Despite a 86-68 loss to the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday, Aug. 18, Reese still managed to make WNBA history.

As she racked up her fourth straight double-double during the game, Reese officially became the fastest player in league history to score 20 double-doubles, a feat she accomplished in just 27 games, according to Sports Illustrated.

Reese is currently averaging 13.6 points and 12.3 rebounds on 39.8% shooting so far this season, per the outlet.

Since she was selected by the Chicago Sky at the 2024 WNBA Draft in April, the former LSU star has had a record-breaking season to date. The first-year standout became the first rookie in league history to rack up a triple-double.

Back in July, it was announced that Reese was the latest WNBA star to join the burgeoning 3-on-3 basketball league.

And she and the Sky will continue to fight to hold on to the final spot in the WNBA playoffs in their last 11 games of the regular season.
